The dirt on Britney Spears, cleaned-up Paris Hilton

Fall is here, and Hollywood is still having fun. Jeans and a sweater will not stop celebrities from putting on a show. So much has happened since my last post, and I am excited to put it all on the table.

Everyone is talking about Britney Spears. The girl has sure had her share of troubles this year, and she does not seem like she wants to stop. The latest drama unfolding for the former princess of pop is the dirt being dished by her former body guard, Big Tony. UsWeekly’s latest cover features Ms. Spears tottering along dog Sunset with a Frappuccino and son Sean P. in hand. Last week’s cover was a full image of her son with a headline asking the world for help. All the attention Britney is attracting is always entertaining, but also seeming to become a little too familiar.  The girl cannot even go tanning without truckloads of paparazzi in tow. This brings me to a dilemma. Britney Spears is so famously talked about that her baby was on the cover of a nationally published gossip magazine. My subscription brought me a picture of a little boy so detailed I could probably guess the brand of his coveralls.

Celebrity gossip is not out of control, but news about Britney Spears is starting to become too much. I want to know when Britney embarrasses herself at the VMAs. If she shaves her head again, I hope I am one of the first to find out. But whether or not Britney went shopping today does not faze me.  I promise I will only talk about Britney Spears when something interesting is going on. I understand the “Britney Spears overload” that is taking over gossip, and I only want to know the good stuff, good can be bad and bad is probably better here.

Now that I’ve cleared that up, Britney’s body guard is dishing out some dirt! Big Tony says that he has seen Britney abuse drugs at least twice in the two months he worked for her. Apparently, Britney had a list of strict rules for all of her posse to follow: no looking at her butt, act “coy” when she stripped and no bad breath. Sounds just like the boss I would love to have. Britney is seemingly just how you could guess when the cameras aren’t around. She wanders around her home, sometimes clothed and sometimes not, forgets to feed her kids, then makes a Jack and Coke before she leaves the house. Not the things Britney wants K-Fed or the courts to hear when she goes up for custody of her children soon. Whether or not Tony is telling the truth, the claims he makes are sure going to confirm the doubts many people are feeling toward her character. I hope these allegations aren’t true, but the media whirlwind her former guard is making sure makes me think he is confident in his statements, or he just wants to be the next big thing in Hollywood.

Another star we are used to hearing about constantly seems to have taken a step away from the limelight. Where in the world is Paris Hilton? Paris made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman last Friday, and he gave quite the interesting interview. Letterman kept bringing up Hilton’s stay in the slammer -- so much that at one point Paris even said he made her sad that she even came. Once Letterman apologized and Paris gave a successful glossy pout to the camera, the interview continued and Paris continued to talk about her new efforts as a humanitarian. Step over Angelina, Paris is saving the world now.

Let’s actually give Hilton some credit for wanting to make a difference. She has dedicated herself to bringing aid and attention to the genocide in Rwanda. She claims that a trip to Rwanda is in the works and that she wants to contribute herself and her money to the cause. Good for you, Paris. This is much better than racking up DUIs.
