The Ohio University men's basketball team snapped their two-game losing skid by defeating the University at Buffalo 94-80 Sunday at the Convocation Center. With the win, the Bobcats clinched the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye in the Mid-American Conference Tournament, which starts Wednesday March 12.
Sunday's game was Senior Day and the last game for forward Leon Williams and guard Bubba Walther in the Convo. The duo combined for 47 points in their home farewell. Junior Jerome Tillman added a career-high 25 points in the Bobcats' rout.
The 94 points scored were the most Ohio had scored in a MAC game all season and was their second-highest total of the year, falling short of the 102 the 'Cats posted early in the season against Cornell.
The game was filled with energy and Speakeasy photographers Drew Angerer and Dustin Franz were there to capture all the action and emotion of Sunday's game, which is displayed in the slideshow to the right.
Ohio begins MAC Tournament play Thursday, March 13 at 9:30 p.m. against the winner of No. 5 seed Miami and No. 12 seed Buffalo, which takes place Wednesday March 12 at 8 p.m.
